In the Age of Aristocracy

Admo The more of Ethan's music I discover, the more I become enthralled with his unique synthesis of guitar, tape loops, and pedal effects. His music is openhearted and vulnerable without veering into pastiche, nostalgic without sentimentality.

Rindenberg From my European perspective, any rendition of a romantic past in the old world can easily become quite kitschy. Thankfully, Black Brunswicker does not opt for nostalgic glorification, instead, he presents a set of beautifully introvert daydreams, small thoughts and emotions one encounters on the long and lonely train travels through the venerable countryside of the Czech Republic. A calm, foggy and intimate trip full of beauty and reflection...and a journey I will surely come back to often... Favorite track: Serf Song.

kevbird The album inspires me to take another European trek. Fun people and fascinating scenery. Favorite track: Sevastapol.

about

Composed using a collection of tape loops, acoustic guitar, and a handful of effects pedals to create a nostalgic sound yearning for the old world.

These tracks are inspired by the feelings I experienced while in the Czech Republic during my trip to Europe this past December.

May these songs help to bring peaceful images of rural countryside, pastel colored buildings, and sleepy old towns to your mind as you listen.
